Power Skill: Research & Pre-Meeting Intelligence

Walk into every meeting as the most-prepared person in the room.

Description Discernment Power skill: Research

The first power-skill week. Research is something every role needs, so everyone builds the Research Brief Skill together — then applies it through their lens (Sales: account/prospect · Operations: vendor · Legal: counterparty/clause · Marketing: market/competitor). Content is authored once and reused across roles.

The wow: calendar-triggered auto-prep — a sourced one-pager on the person you’re about to meet, blending public signal with your own relationship history. The D’s are Description (asking well) and Discernment (judging sources — no link, no claim).

Learner goals

  • Build the Research Brief Skill with sourcing and an 'unverified' rule.
  • Blend public signal with your own history (email/Drive).
  • Auto-prep from your calendar: 'prep me for my next meeting'.
  • Apply the research skill through your role lens.

What you set up live

  • Build the Research Brief Skill from the starter.
  • Connect it to your calendar for automatic pre-meeting prep.
  • Run your role-specific research variant on a real upcoming meeting.
